The tournament will return after an eight-year hiatus since the last edition in 2017, with Pakistan hosting its first global cricket tournament since 1996. The UAE will serve as a neutral venue, with Dubai staging several key matches.

The 15-match, eight-team event will be held across four venues: Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan, and Dubai in the UAE.

The competition will feature two groups, with Group A consisting of Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa.

The semi-finals are scheduled for March 4 and 5, with the first semi-final in Dubai and the second in Lahore. Lahore will host the final on March 9, though if India qualifies, the final will be relocated to Dubai. Both semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.

ICC Chair, Jay Shah, expressed excitement about the return of the tournament, highlighting the blend of heritage and modernity that Pakistan and Dubai will bring to the event.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, also welcomed the announcement, emphasising Pakistan’s commitment to promoting international cricket.
