Punjab’s Education Secretary, Khalid Nazir Wato, has confirmed that all educational institutions in the province will reopen on January 13.
He clarified that no decision has been made regarding an extension of winter holidays, nor is any proposal under consideration.
In a statement, Wato urged parents to avoid listening to rumours and instead rely on official information from the education department’s social media page.
“The education department uses only its official page, School Education Department Punjab, for any announcements,” he said.
Wato also dismissed a circulating notification on social media, which claimed an extension of the holidays, as completely fake. He advised parents to trust only official sources for updates
